Swedish comedian Bill Skarsgård will be dating British singer FKA Twigs on the big screen for The Crow.
The story of The Crow revolves around Eric Draven and his fiancée Shelly, who are brutally murdered by a mobster gang when their car breaks down. A young man is resurrected by a crow and endowed with supernatural powers to take revenge on those who killed him and his girlfriend. The winged animal serves as both guide and spur to Eric, providing him with information that aids him in his quest, but also scolds him for regretting his lover’s death, seeing her as a distraction from his goal.
“The Raven is beautiful, dark, poetic and sometimes unsettling,”said director Rupert Sanders. “ This is a story of love, loss, grief and revenge. I am honored to return to James O’Barr’s iconic comic book and reimagine The Crow as a sinister vision of our times. ”
Filming this summer for The Crow
The Crow adaptation is being produced by Victor Hadida, Molly Hassel, John Jencks and Edward R. Pressman, but also directed by Rupert Sanders and written by Zach Bailyn. The production companies overseeing this film are Hassell Free Productions, Electric Shadow Company, Davis Films, and Edward R. Pressman Film Corporation in association with 30WEST.
