ZTE has introduced a new series of flagship smartphones. The company launched the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra and Axon 40 Pro in China. The two flagship devices feature top-tier smartphone hardware. The Axon 40 Ultra also features an under-screen front camera.
Both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 800-series chipset. Axon 40 Ultra is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. On the other hand, 40 Pro is equipped with Snapdragon 870 SoC. Let’s take a look at the features, specifications, price and other details of ZTE Axon 40 Ultra and Axon 40 Pro.
ZTE Axon 40 Ultra, Axon 40 Pro price
The ZTE Axon 40 series currently includes Pro and Ultra models. The Axon 40 Pro comes with three storage options, with the base model having 8GB of RAM. The 8GB + 128GB model is priced at 2,998 yuan, while the 12GB + 256GB model is priced at 3,298 yuan. There is also a 12GB + 512GB storage option priced at RMB 3,798. The phone is available in three colors: Magic Night Black, Crystal Fog Blue and Star Orange.
Axon 40 Ultra comes in four storage options. The base model has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Its price is 4998 yuan. The 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage options cost 5298 Yuan and 5798 Yuan. There is also a 16GB + 1TB storage option, priced at RMB 7298. The phone comes in silver and black color options.

The top-tier 40 Ultra features a 6.81-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is curved and has no hole punch or notch. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It has up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging out of the box.
There is a triple camera on the back. The phone has a 64MP Sony IMX787 main camera and a 64MP ultra-wide camera. There is also a 64MP telephoto lens with OIS support. For selfies, the phone has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera below the display. The phone runs Android 12 based MiFavor UI out of the box.

The Axon 40 Pro features a Snapdragon 870 SoC under the hood. It features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate support. There is a cutout for the front camera at the top center.
There is a quad camera on the back of the phone. It has a 108MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The phone also features two 2-megapixel sensors for depth and macro photography. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel front camera inside the punch-hole cutout. The 40 Pro packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging.
