Introducing Apple Music Sessions
Live performances include both “creative covers”of classics and songs that the artists have recreated for live performances from their own catalogue. In addition, all performances released in this section are in spatial audio, just like the rest of the Apple Music catalog. And it’s not just about the music – Apple Music Sessions includes music videos specially recorded for the occasion.
A press release in Apple Newsroom is selling us Apple Music Sessions:
Recorded at Apple Music studios around the world, Apple Music Sessions give artists the opportunity to reimagine and recreate hits from their catalog and creative covers of favorite classics. These one-of-a-kind performances are also filmed, resulting in a special live collection of brand new spatial audio tracks and accompanying live music videos, available exclusively to Apple Music fans worldwide.
The new section opens on Friday, July 15, 2022 with releases by Carrie Underwood and country singer Tenille Townes. Many more will be featured in the coming days, including Ronnie Dunn and Ingrid Andress. These performances were recorded live in a studio to give you the feeling that the band is playing these songs live. Read: How to get detailed information about Apple Music songs on macOS
