MediaTek is formalizing its Dimensity 9000+ chip, a (slight) improvement on its Dimensity 9000 chip.
Every year, manufacturers work hard to offer new generations of their products. And this is at all levels. Be it smartphones, computers or their smallest components. It’s about doing better, more efficiently, more efficiently, not necessarily more expensive. This is especially true for the mobile industry. Today MediaTek is introducing its new MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chip.
MediaTek draws up its Dimensity 9000+ chip
MediaTek has just formalized its new high performance Dimensity 9000+ chip to support the existing Dimensity 9000 chip. As the name suggests, this new processor is directly based on the Dimensity 9000 chip, “same but slightly better”.
What about in numbers? What to expect? The 9000+ chip is expected to deliver 5% faster CPU speed and 10% faster GPU speed than its predecessor. This additional processor performance is due to the higher clock speed of the Prime ARM Cortex X2 core, although the clock speed of the smaller Cortex 510s has not been disclosed.

And because it’s based on the same design and manufacturing processes as the original Dimensity 9000 chip, the rest of the specs are identical. OEMs that already use the 9000 chip should be able to integrate the 9000+ into their new smartphones this summer or by the start of the school year in September.
Such a performance improvement might well convince some customers accustomed to the high-end market, especially gamers and/or photo and video enthusiasts.
This Dimensity 9000+ chip is also a good tech showcase for MediaTek as the company wants to show the world its talent when it comes to high performance, especially after Qualcomm released its rival Snapdragon 8 Gen1+ chip.
