The Resident Evil Village Winters expansion releases on October 28th and gives you the opportunity to discover the village from a different perspective.
The downloadable content promised by Capcom last year for Resident Evil Village now has a release date. The Winters expansion will be available starting October 28th. Capcom began developing this additional content in 2021, just weeks after the game’s launch, to meet “heavy demand”.
Resident Evil Village Winters DLC Coming October 28th
Today, Capcom producer Tsuyoshi Kanda reveals some interesting details about the three features included in this DLC, including a third-person mode that will let you play through the main story from a completely different perspective. If you choose to play in third person, you’ll see Ethan explore the village in search of his missing daughter, killing the undead along the way.
An opportunity to discover the village from a different perspective
This Winters expansion will also add the Extra Mercenary Orders mode, an arcade shooter that unlocks when you complete the game for the first time. The DLC will also add new levels and new playable characters, including Chris Redfield and the hugely popular and equally great Lady Dimitrescu. Finally, this expansion will show you what happens to Rose, Ethan’s daughter, 16 years after the end of the original campaign. Rose’s story shows her struggling with her “terrifying powers”and trying to free herself from her curse.
In addition to the arrival of this long-awaited DLC, Resident Evil Re:Verse – a free-to-play multiplayer game mode that was supposed to be released in July 2021 – will also be available from October 28th. In addition, the PS5 versions of Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3 are available now, and you can get them for free if you already own the PS4 versions.
