Poco C40 Global Launch Date Set for June 16: Expected Specs

Poco is bringing its C series to global markets. The brand took to Twitter to announce the global launch date for the Poco C40 which is June 16th. Ahead of the launch, Poco has also begun revealing some of the key specs of its upcoming C-series phone. The brand has confirmed via teasers on social media that the upcoming Poco C40 will feature a 6,000mAh battery. Poco has also revealed the back design of the upcoming phone, and according to the teaser, the phone will have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Based on the teaser, it looks like Poco will continue to use its signature design language and the device will feature a huge rectangular island around the camera module that will also feature Poco branding in large print. Poco has also confirmed the Poco Yellow color option for the upcoming Poco C40.

Poco C40: expected specifications

The Poco C40 with model number 220333QPG was previously spotted on the NBTC certification website. The model number of Poco C40 is the same as Redmi 10C. For those who don’t know, the Redmi 10C Global variant has the model number 220333QAG.

Judging by the similarity in the model number, the upcoming Poco C40 could be renamed Redmi 10C with some changes under the hood. Recall, Redmi 10C is equipped with a 6.7-inch HD + LCD display with a brightness of 400 nits and waterdrop notch. The phone offers a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

The Redmi 10C is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 octa-core processor. However, the Poco C40 is said to be dropping the Snapdragon chipset from its Redmi SoC counterpart JR510.
