Monument Valley games are coming to PC this summer in these Panorama Editions.
If you’re used to playing on tablets or smartphones and love puzzles, chances are you’ve already played Monument Valley. These games made a splash with their mechanics, of course, but also with their special design, pastel colors and very relaxing atmosphere, despite the content, which was not always really simple. Soon PC gamers will be able to enjoy it too.
Monument Valley games coming to PC this summer
Iconic games like Monument Valley and Monument Valley 2 are getting a new life. New life on a new platform. Indeed, both games will be released on PC on July 12th. In other words, starting today they will be playable outside of the iOS, Android and Windows Phone ecosystems for the first time since launch.
The vertical format, like on a smartphone, however, may not be suitable for PC players. Therefore, Ustwo Games decided to make some changes to the successful visuals of these two games by integrating the 21:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio. This new enhanced view can help you solve puzzles a little easier and find your way forward faster. One way or another, the developer decided to call these versions “panoramic”. A name that is ultimately very appropriate given what it brings.
In these “panoramic editions”
Both of these games will appear on Steam for $8 each. The two-opus package (plus all expansions) will also be available and you will be able to take advantage of a 15% discount on the total.
As part of this announcement, which should appeal to a large number of gamers, Ustwo Games has released a behind-the-scenes video in which the developers go over the process of porting their games to PC. Very interesting.
