New OnePlus smartphone spotted in FCC, possibly rebranded Oppo A57 4G

OnePlus is gearing up to launch yet another smartphone, according to the FCC listing. OnePlus has already launched several new phones this year and we are still in June. The company has released several Nord series devices including Nord CE 2, Nord CE 2 Lite and Nord 2T. On the other hand, the company also launched a Nord N series smartphone dubbed Nord N20 5G.

In addition, the company has already launched the OnePlus 10 Pro flagship smartphones and the affordable OnePlus 10R (OnePlus Ace in China) flagship smartphones. Now it looks like the company wants to launch a super affordable smartphone that could be a rebranded Oppo A series device. The upcoming OnePlus 4G smartphone has been spotted by the FCC revealing some details of the device as well as a rebrand.

Upcoming OnePlus phone could be rebranded as Oppo A57 4G

An upcoming OnePlus phone has been spotted on the FCC database with model number CPH2469. According to the information submitted, the device will measure 163.74 x 75.03 x 7.99mm and will support Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, and dual SIM support. Moreover, the listing also states that the phone will have a 5000mAh battery with model number BLP923.

Looking further down the FCC listing, we could also find several documents submitted by Oppo asking for a OnePlus rebrand. First, a letter from Oppo asks that the company’s name be changed to “OnePlus Technology”. In addition, the document also reveals that the upcoming OnePlus phone will come with the OnePlus logo on the battery cover, a red USB cable, OxygenOS 12.1, and in terms of cameras, the device will likely feature a 50MP main camera and a 2MP camera. the secondary camera on the back are all changes in the new phone compared to the already released OPPO A57 4G. The document also says “Remove Headset”which could mean they are asking you to remove the headphones that are in the box.

Based on these specifications obtained from the FCC, it looks like this upcoming OnePlus 4G phone could be a rebadged Oppo A57 4G that was launched a few days ago in Thailand. The Oppo A57 4G features a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD screen and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. In terms of camera, the device features a 13MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP selfie camera. The phone comes with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
