The Central African Republic announces a massive program around bitcoin, an ambitious and fast strategy.
The President of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadéra, has announced that the government will initiate a number of projects following the legal adoption of bitcoin in the country. Thus, a large-scale initiative aimed at developing the blockchain infrastructure in the country will see the light of day. And the least we can say is that the country is thinking big.

It was through Twitter that the president announced that the government of the Central African Republic would be organizing an event on July 3 during which the president, members of his cabinet and industry experts would discuss the necessary physical and digital infrastructure, as well as the legal framework for the country to fully enter the crypto space.
The Sango project is already planning to create a “Crypto Legal Center” that will serve to attract businesses and crypto enthusiasts from around the world, increase the adoption of bitcoin in the country, and create a virtual “crypto island”, a special economic zone in the metaverse. this would have an equivalent area in the physical world. In the meantime, the legal framework should be in place by the end of this year.
Ambitious and fast-paced strategy
For Faustin-Archange Touadéra, “an ambitious strategy to quickly build a successful economy can only rely on new technologies that have taken the world by storm and taken money to new heights, with bitcoin as the word of order.”
With such a program, one cannot help but draw a parallel with El Salvador, which made bitcoin legal tender in September 2021 and announced that it wants to create its own city of Bitcoin City, funded by up to a billion dollars in BTC bonds. However, this huge project has been put on hold since June and the crypto winter.
