CUPERTINO, Calif. — During the keynote presentation at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple revealed the first details about the next major software update for the Apple Watch: watchOS 9.
The four new watch faces will make better use of the Apple Watch Series 7’s wider screen. That means more room for rich complications.
In addition, Apple is adding new health and fitness features to the watch, as is usually the case with these annual updates. The running mode will calculate vertical oscillation, stride length and ground contact time. All activity modes will also be able to display your heart rate zones. If you set the HR zone, you will also receive notifications about your effect.
Apple’s WWDC keynote is ongoing and this article will be updated with new details as they become available. You can follow in real time with our live blog here.
