Marvel announces I’m Groot Animated Series on Disney+ later this summer and shortly before She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
Created by Ryan Little (Agent Carter, Iron Fist, Inhumans, Daredevil), also head writer, and directed by Kristen Lepore (Marcel Sink in Boots, The Strangers, North American Story), I’m Groot is a series of short films. animation footage of the alien plant monster as it grows and gets into trouble among the stars. It will air on the Disney+ streaming platform starting August 10.

First introduced to live action in James Gunn’s 2014 hit Guardians of the Galaxy, Groot has become an integral part of the MCU. The character, voiced by Vin Diesel, seemed to die at the end of the first film, but returns in a younger form in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, as well as Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and the next year’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
