You receive a digital copy of Digimon Survive when you download the game. It automatically downloads along with it. After starting the game, you will receive a pop-up notification in the main menu, which displays Gilmon and says that an additional monster has been received.
The process is more or less the same for physical copies of the game, just with an extra step. First you need to install the game using the physical copy on your console. Then go to your console’s store and look for the option to redeem codes.
