Jailbreak tweaks of the week: CCSIM, Echo and more…

While the jailbreak for iOS and iPadOS 15 is ongoing, the good news is that development is ongoing. In the meantime, iDB is delighted to be here this lovely Sunday morning to share the news of the jailbreak community.

In today’s roundup, we’ll show you all the latest jailbreak tweak releases and current jailbreak news for the week of Monday, August 15th to Sunday, August 21st.

As with every review we bring to you on Sundays, we’ll start by discussing our favorite releases this week, and then wrap up with everything else.

Our favorite releases this week

CCSIM – FREE

When you use the dual-SIM capabilities of the iPhone, you quickly realize how cumbersome it can be to switch between a primary or secondary carrier.

CCSIM simplifies this process by adding a serious toggle right into the Control Center interface, making it easy to switch any carrier you want without having to navigate through the cellular preference pane in the Settings app.

You can learn more about CCSIM and what you can do with it in our full review.

echo

Echo is a new handy jailbreak tweak for locked iOS 14 devices that brings the improved iOS 16-style Now Playing widget UI.

Echo is more than just a port, it’s also highly customizable. You can give it the color scheme you want to look at every time you listen to music, which means you don’t have to compromise on a stock look.

You can find out everything you need to know about the Echo and what it allows you to do in our full review.

Other releases this week

ProtectedBrowser: The new ProtectedBrowser jailbreak tweak prevents JavaScript from being injected into third-party built-in browsers such as Instagram and TikTok (free on the Ginsudev repo – review).
