This new jailbreak tweak makes the date display on the lock screen more compact.

Your iPhone’s lock screen displays the date right below the time, so you can always find out what day it is from a convenient location. But it’s worth noting that some people like to format their dates differently than others.

While Apple does not provide any built-in options for changing the date format on the lock screen, a new and free jailbreak tweak called compact date from iOS developer ElioFegh can at least make the date format more compact so that it takes up less space on the lock screen.

The before (left) screenshot above shows what the date display on the lock screen looked like before installing the compact date jailbreak tweak, and the after (right) screenshot above shows the date display on the lock screen after installing the tweak.

This might seem like a trivial change to some, but depending on how you prefer to format your dates, this might just be the tweak you need to give your lock screen the personal aesthetic it’s needed all along.

It’s worth noting that the compact date doesn’t have any options to tweak, so what you end up seeing is what you have.

Those interested in trying out the new date compact jailbreak tweak can download it for free from ElioFegh’s personal repository via their favorite package management app. The tweak only supports jailbroken iOS 12, 13, and 14 devices.

If you’re not already using ElioFegh’s personal repository, you can add it to your package manager app right now using the URL we’ve embedded below:
