Fatal Fury: SNK announces the development of a new opus

The new Fatal Fury is officially in development.

The Fatal Fury series by the Japanese studio SNK, whose main character is Terry Bogard, has not been released in a new version for 23 years. The last installment was Garou: Mark of the Wolves, known as Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves on the Dreamcast and released in 1999, has appeared in other fighting games, including King of Fighters.

If the teaser released during EVO 2022 doesn’t reveal much in its current form, it shows that the artwork was created by Aki Senno, aka Tonko, who is none other than the character and artwork creator of Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Therefore, fans of Fatal Fury will be sure that the art style of the new game will be authentic.

A message from SNK in the teaser for the new Fatal Fury featuring Rock Howard reads:

The legendary city is still breathing. Hungry wolves roam again. A new destiny hidden in the darkness. The new Fatal Fury is ready.
