FFXIV: How to disable spell effects

Final Fantasy IV, also known as FFXIV, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that can be played in PvE and PvP modes. While players improve their character, they get better stats by collecting EXP in the game. In addition, the main combat gameplay features a combination of physical attacks, weapon skills, and magical attacks. And while the game mechanics rival those of other MMORPGs, the effects are said to put some players on edge. The brightness and flashy effects of spells do not leave a memorable impression on the players. Therefore, many tend to change their settings. This guide is for those FFXIV players who want to disable spell effects in Final Fantasy XIV.

  • While in a new window, you can see the combat effect settings at the bottom.
  • From here, you can either reduce the effects of spells or turn them off. We recommend reducing the effects rather than turning them off. However, if you want to disable spell effects in Final Fantasy XIV, select “Hide”for all “Custom”, “Party”and “Others”. This will disable all spell effects, not just yours.
