To dive underwater, you need to press the Ctrl and Space keys on your keyboard. But you can’t dive underwater unless you’ve unlocked this ability. We will check how to unlock it a bit later. You also cannot dive underwater in any body of water in the game. The water must be deep enough to dive into. Some of the areas where you can dive underwater are the lake in the Asimov Steppe, the Ruby Sea, and more.
The best part is that if you are flying on a mount and there is deep enough water, then you can dive in with your mount. Head to any of these areas and start swimming, then press the buttons to dive.
- PC: Press the Ctrl and spacebar keys on your keyboard.
- Xbox: Press the B button on your Xbox controller.
- PlayStation: Press the circle button on the PlayStation controller.
As you dive, you will see your character begin to float down. This will be followed by a bubble transition and the next moment your character will be underwater. To return to the surface, just swim up. You will see the same animation, and after it you will rise.

In order to unlock the dive, you need to obtain and accept the quest “In Soroban We Trust”.
- After accepting the quest, we meet with Alice.
- A cutscene begins where Soroban blesses the team.
- After the cutscene, the ritual ends and players can breathe underwater.
- Enter the ring of water.
- Under water, Soroban summons stingray-like creatures.
- After this cutscene, you will see a screen that says Diving Unlocked.
