In Genshin Impact, you can use Dendro to trigger multiple reactions with different elements. Thus, the characters of this element will be a great addition to your team. This is especially true if the best characters on your team are Pyro, Hydro, or Electro. So here are all the Dendro Reactions explanations for Genshin Impact and how to use them effectively.
Genshin Impact Explanation of all Dendro reactions
Dendro has a total of three reactions that can take place using the elements Pyro, Hydro and Electro. Unfortunately, it doesn’t do anything with Geo, Cryo, Anemo, or itself. Here are the reactions:
- Burning
- Blossom
- Catalyze/accelerate
Here’s how each of these reactions works and how you can use them to your advantage.
Burning
Burning is the reaction you get when you hit a target with a Pyro attack and then attack a Dendro, or vice versa. Once the target is hit by both elements, it will inflict Pyro AoE damage in a 1m radius.
This reaction also places an aura of burning on the target. And this aura consists of the auras of Pyro and Dendro, so as soon as one of them is depleted, the burning aura stops. It should be remembered here that during the burning, the aura of the dendro is consumed much faster than the aura of the arsonist.
Bloom – Explanation of Dendro’s reaction to Genshin Impact
This reaction is slightly more powerful than combustion and even has two sub-reactions.
You can summon Bloom by hitting targets with Hydro and Dendro. It doesn’t matter which elemental damage you deal to your target first, as long as you deal both of those elements to them.
Bloom makes Dendro Core. This core will explode 6 seconds after spawning and deal AoE Dendro damage to both enemies and players within 5m of it. There can’t be more than 5 Dendro cores on the field at the same time. In a situation where you manage to produce 6 of them, the oldest Dendro core explodes immediately. But what makes Dendro cores interesting is their ability to react with other elements.
You can activate Dendro Core with Pyro or Electro to cause additional side reactions, these reactions are:
- Burgeon: Land a Pyro on a Dendro core and it will deal an increased Dendro DMG AoE to both players and enemies in range.
- Hyperbloom: Apply Electro to a Dendro Core and it will turn the core into Spread Shot. They target enemies and deal AoE Dendro damage to both enemies and players within a 1M radius.
Catalyze/accelerate
Catalysis is better explained as a group of reactions rather than as a reaction as such. You can cast Catalyze on your target by dealing Electro and Dendro elements to them and then attacking them with Electro, Dendro, Pyro or Hydro. You can deliver electro and dendro attacks in the order you choose. They allow you to trigger Acceleration, Aggravation, or Propagation.
- Haste: Haste is an aura that you summon by attacking your target with Electro and Dendro elements. You can then attack your target with hydro or pyro damage. This will allow you to make the target suffer from Burn or Bloom.
- Aggravated: While the target is in a haste state, attack it with an electric attack. This reaction will give the attack a fixed damage bonus.
- Proliferate: Similar to Aggravate, while the target is in the Haste state, you must attack it again, but this time with a Dendro attack. This reaction also gives the attack a fixed damage bonus.
