You don’t have to go through a recommendation algorithm or sift through endless lists of search results. Netflix has tools to make content filtering easier, and they’re available through codes.
Netflix codes to make your life easier
Netflix codes are not new, they are used internally by the platform’s algorithms to categorize content. In August, Netflix said there were about 30,000 of them. Unfortunately, they only work on the Netflix website and not in apps. A complete list of these codes can be found at netflix-codes.com. There are many categories and even more subcategories.
Using a dedicated Chrome extension
The easiest way to take full advantage of these codes is to install a Chrome extension called Better Browse for Netflix. On the said extension page, click Add to Chrome, then click Add Extension, then sign in to your Netflix account in a new tab. At the top of the Netflix home screen, you should see a new See All option next to My List. Click on it to perform a manual search or view all available subgenres.

Another solution: go to netflix-codes.com on your PC or smartphone, search for the desired genre or subgenre and click on the code next to the desired genre. If you’re using a device with the Netflix app installed, it should open and navigate directly to the selected genre or subgenre. Otherwise, this will open Netflix through the browser and you can see certain content available.
You can also redeem Netflix codes manually in your browser. To do this, go to netflix-codes.com on your PC or smartphone and find the genre or subgenre you want to check out. On the other tab, enter <http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/CODENETFLIX>, replacing CODENETFLIX with the genre or subgenre code. After that, you will see all the content in that category. All you have to do is type in the title of the movie or series of your choice directly on your favorite device, or log in to watch it in your browser.
