New gameplay and customization options

  • HDMI 1440p Video Output: This PS5 Beta adds support for HDMI 1440p video output, allowing players to select alternate display settings on compatible computer monitors and TVs. If your game supports 1440p rendering, you can enjoy native 1440p output on your display. Also, if your game is running at a higher native resolution, such as 4K, you can benefit from improved anti-aliasing by upsampling to 1440p. To determine if your HDMI device is compatible, select Test 1440p Output from the Display & Video options menu in System Settings.
  • Folders: In your Game Library, you can now create game lists to organize your games even more easily. To do this, go to the [Your Collection] tab and select [Create a list of games]. Select the games you want to add to the games list, then give them a name. You can create up to 15 game lists, with up to 100 games each. Any games found in the Your Collection tab of your Game Library can be added to the list of games, whether they are on disc, digital, or streaming. You can add the same game to multiple game lists
  • Compare 3D audio and stereo audio: You now have the option to compare 3D audio and stereo audio on the same screen to choose your preferred option.
  • Easy access to current activities: When you resume a game, your current activities are often displayed prominently at the top of the game portal, making it quick and easy to pick up where you left off.
