While it’s easy to customize your ship in the game, you’ll need to purchase items first. Since it’s just cosmetic, the items are expensive and require gold. Although some of them can even be bought with blue coins, most items will require gold. Here’s what you need to do to customize your ship in Sea of Thieves:
- Go to any shipbuilder shop on the docks that sell customization items.
- Interact with them and then select Ship Customization to cycle through the available items.
- After you buy one of these, head to the personalization chest and then you can choose your customization.
- Also, if you are too far away from the ship, you won’t be able to set it up.
- If you know about Bilge Rats, you can head to the Duke’s Shop to get some items for blue coins.
While the ship customization looks good, you won’t have any advantage over other players. Also, in order to be able to customize your ship in the game, you need to become a captain first.
That’s all you need to customize your ship in Sea of Thieves.
