UFL, rival to FIFA and eFootball, postponed to 2023

Strikerz delays UFL release.

While free-to-play is focused on the ideology of “fair play”, which is to pit players against opponents with similar talents, was supposed to appear this year on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One, UFL is now out next year.

Strikerz CEO Evgeny Nashilov said:

We have always set the bar very high both inside and outside the studio. Our goal now, as then, is nothing less than to create a premium quality football game (AAA), responsive and realistic, with first-class graphics and gameplay. It’s not new to say that this is a game of immense technological complexity – a game that should simulate the full range of football mechanics and techniques with dynamic and realistic animation, world-class players and much more. That is why we are informing you that the release date is being pushed back to 2023. Many of you have indicated that this is very likely… and you were right. The game is now about 80% complete and we need more time to complete development.

New to the UFL at the end of the year

Players looking for a real alternative to FIFA and eFootball can expect an update on the UFL release date next December:

We could write a press release, but we wanted to convey these words to you personally. As you know, we believe that an honest and open approach to communication is the best way to go, and we adhere to this principle. We are working hard to provide you with a quality product, and we will do it in a timely manner.
