The sequel to the slime farming game is out, and it comes with some exciting new features and updates. While it’s still in Early Access, you can start your slippery adventure on the new Rainbow Island map today as Beatrix LeBeau. The latest part of the series, you guessed it, contains a lot of new slimes. One of these are cotton slimes, which are relatively easy to find but much harder to catch as they flop away. So, in this guide, we will discuss where to find cotton slimes in Slime Rancher 2.
How to find cotton slimes in Slime Rancher 2
Luckily, you don’t need access to any blocked areas of the map to find cotton slimes. Cotton Sims are very common in Rainbow Fields. This is a large patch of slime field west of the conservatory, teeming with pink slugs and cotton slugs that can be fed for plorts. You may notice the cotton slug with its distinctive rabbit ears.
Cotton slimes now have a very specific diet of vegetables in Slime Rancher. So you can feed them any vegetable at any time to get one cotton plort. However, if you want to grow these pretty balls efficiently, you need to feed them their favorite food – water lettuce. Cotton slime drops two cotton plorts when fed water lettuce. These plorts can be very helpful in enhancing your conservatory experience. You can also sell these valuable plorts for a decent amount of newbucks.
It is important to remember that cotton slimes have very high jumping abilities. So if you’re trying to build a plort farming pen, you’ll need to purchase the High Wall upgrade to keep them from jumping out and escaping. That’s all you need to know about where to find cotton slimes in Slime Rancher 2.
