The sequel to the slime farming game is out, and it comes with some exciting new features and updates. While it’s still in Early Access, you can start your slippery adventure on the new Rainbow Island map today as Beatrix LeBeau. The latest part of the series, you guessed it, contains a lot of different new items, slimes, recipes and lots of crafting resources. One of the resources you will need in the long run is silky sand as it is used to increase your inventory. So, in this guide, we will explain how to get Silky Sand in Slime Rancher 2.

Where to find silky sand in Slime Rancher 2

You can find Silky Sand in many places on the map, but they are all mostly outside of the main island of the Rainbow Island map where you first spawn. The regions of Starlight Strand and Amber Valley also have several sources of Silky Sand. They mainly appear in places with a seashore. You can easily identify Silky Sand as it looks like a brownish mud fountain. These are sandy water geysers, which are more common near large bodies of water.

Once you find these fountains, all you need to do is use the Vacpack on them to easily collect up to 20 Silky Sand. Once you have enough Silky Sand for your needs, you can head to the Fabricator Lab and get the Vac Tank upgrade to increase your inventory storage. However, you may need a few other ingredients for this upgrade, including a stone plort. You also need to spend 450 newbucks on it.

It is important to remember that in order to be able to collect resources like Silky Sand, you need to create and activate a resource collector. This is one of the first things players need to do in order to collect any resources with your Vacpack.

That’s all you need to know about how to collect silky sand in Slime Rancher 2.
