How to Respawn with Mercy in Overwatch 2

Mercy is one of Overwatch 2’s most popular supports, and her ability to resurrect dead players can turn the tide in your favor. In addition, she has quite a few amazing abilities that allow her to fly, shoot and, of course, heal her allies. If you’re planning on trying out or becoming a main character, here’s how to respawn with an Angel in Overwatch 2.

How to get Mercy to resurrect dead teammates in Overwatch 2

Here’s how to use the Mercy Resurrect ability to bring dead teammates back to life.

When you see a teammate dying, walk up to them and immediately press the revive button to bring them back to life.

  • PC: E key
  • Xbox: RB
  • PS4/PS5: R1
  • Nintendo Switch: R

Things to keep in mind when playing Mercy

  • Make sure there are other squad members covering you while you revive a teammate because a short animation plays out.
  • If you are surrounded by enemies and there are almost no team members around you, decide if you want to respawn or escape by flying away.
  • Another thing to consider is who to revive – it’s best to revive your tank or your most effective DPS hero.
  • Mercy’s revive ability has a 20 second cooldown, so use it wisely.
  • She works quite well with some heroes, and forming a two-hero combo can help you dominate the match.
  • Being Mercy makes you a target for enemies, as your teammates won’t die due to your constant healing. Because of this, don’t go out alone and retreat if you find yourself alone.
  • Your weapons aren’t very powerful, so your main goal as Angel should be to heal the team and use Guardian Angel and Valkyrie abilities to keep moving around the map.
