“Each group has a different target market, although they do overlap a bit,”Maker said in his DC Rainmaker review. “And frankly, any of the three straps can be worn equally well for any activity.” This comes from an expert, not a random reviewer.

Mark specializes in gadget reviews for runners, cyclists, and triathletes, so he can share his thoughts on Apple Watch Ultra bands. To test the Ocean Band, he went to the beach and went for an open-air swim.

He also made a 14-hour hike just to check out the Alpine Loop.

Here is the dedication!

Three Apple Watch Ultra straps

You can connect your Apple Watch Ultra to one of three Apple bands:

  • Alpine Loop: This group is aimed at outdoor enthusiasts. Don’t let the comfortable fit and design fool you, it’s extremely durable and features a G-hook for a snug, secure fit.
  • trail loop. Lightweight and elastic, the Apple Watch Ultra Trail Loop is designed for endurance athletes. Apple says it’s the thinnest band. The Trail Loop has a comfortable pull tab for quick adjustments.
  • Ocean Band: This bracelet has been designed to withstand high water pressure. Designed for extreme water sports and recreational diving, its tubular construction allows it to flex and stretch even over a wetsuit (titanium buckle with adjustable loop ensures a secure fit).

If you don’t like Apple’s own offerings, you’ll soon be able to choose from other options as third-party companies release their own bands for the Apple Watch Ultra. The cost of third-party options is usually a fraction of Apple’s prices. As we have already reported, your existing 44/45mm bands should fit your Apple Watch Ultra without any problems.
