You need to unlock Mamba’s special mentality in order to change your grips and get the “Accelerator”perk. Don’t worry, here’s how to unlock both of them.
How to unlock the Mamba mentality
Follow the steps below to unlock the Mamba mentality in NBA 2K23:
- First, you need to talk to Pippa at the Promenade located on the Silver Deck.
- You’ll find her wearing a green T-shirt with a yellow exclamation point above it.
- When you talk to her, she will give you different quests.
- While you don’t need to complete the quests, return until she assigns you a target to talk to Captain Samuel. This task will be called “Forward and Up!”
- After talking to Captain Samuel near Dueces, he will assign you training at the Gatorade Training Center.
- Completing this challenge will reward you with 1 Gatorade Boost.
- Now return to Samuel to receive the task to talk to Thomas near the Trips.
- When you talk to Thomas, he will give you a task to win the game against Pippa in MyCourt in Gold Deck.
- Once you win a 1v1 basketball game against Pippa, you will be rewarded with the Mamba Mentality.
How to unlock the accelerator perk
Follow these steps:
- Speak with Sam at the Silver Deck Promenade.
- After talking to him, he will give you different objectives to practice.
- First, you will need to land 2 shots at medium range or 2 layups in any game.
- Then you’ll have another goal: make two 3s, 5 layups, or 5 dunks.
- Continue completing Sam’s quests until you get the “Kill Sam”quest.
- To do this, you need to talk to Pippa on the Promenade in the Silver Deck.
- This will reward you with the Accelerator perk or the Capture buff.
