American director Ruben Fleischer said:

There are three things in this world that I really love… Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and magic. The opportunity to work with these two talented actors, as well as the rest of Elusive Films’ incredible team, is a dream come true. I’ve been a fan of heist movies all my life – I love diving into twists and turns and mysteries where nothing is as it seems. And this is all the more true when thieves are wizards – the possibilities are endless. Eric Warren Singer has managed to pave a new and exciting path for a fun new movie and new characters, so I can’t wait to dive into it even more.

The release date for Elusive 3 is not yet known.

Nathan Kahane, president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, added:

Ruben Fleischer has proven time and time again that he has a special talent for creating blockbusters based on characters. It creates excitement while staying focused on characters that audiences love. We feel like we’ve put together a dream team to get this new film off the ground. For everyone we kept on their toes, the wait is almost over.

Bobby Cohen is co-producing the third film in the Elusive universe with Secret Hideout’s Alex Kurtzman. Meredith Wick and Chisom Ude are curating the project for Lionsgate.
