New Quartz Collection from Razer

Following the RazerCon 2022 announcements, the three snake brand has unveiled new pink colored peripherals. The Quartz collection is much less restrained than classic black, but still has a bit of an impact. We remind you that in the Quartz 2022 collection we will find:

  • Huntsman V2 TKL keyboard (in QWERTY layout for only 189.99 euros)
  • BlackShark V2 X Wired Headset (€69.99)
  • Barracuda helmet (€189.99)
  • Orochi V2 gaming mouse (€69.99)
  • Large mouse pad Strider Hybrid (39.99 €)

To get back to the details of the products, the Huntsman V2 keyboard is in TKL format, meaning it ignores the numeric keypad. It is true that this is not necessarily beneficial for the gamer and allows for less distance between the mouse and keyboard (important for some). The optical switches are supplied by Razer and are linear. To reduce key noise, the keyboard even has foam built in, and the keys have dual PBT injection to increase their lifespan. Controlled via Synapse, RGB keyboard of course! A little more pleasant, in the kit we will find a wrist rest.

The BlackShark V2 X is an esports type helmet with good passive isolation. On the side we will find a potentiometer to control the sound volume, as well as a button to mute the microphone. We stay on the 3.5mm lead with an extension that offers 2 outputs (mic and audio). The headset doesn’t offer RGB or synapse sync, it’s really made to be accessible to everyone in a plug-and-play fashion.

The Barracuda helmet is more of a lifestyle product. It is not gaming at all and is used via Bluetooth or through its 2.4 GHz dongle. It includes ANC for outdoor use, as well as a volume wheel and a button to mute the microphone, nothing tactile! In terms of autonomy, we have about 40 hours and, if necessary, we can use the included cable with a connector to connect to a PC.

On the Strider Hybrid mouse pad, we are on a flexible and really very large pad! It is water resistant and the edges are stitched for added durability. The rubber back allows it to cling to surfaces, while the side of the mouse is textured and really nice. For FPS, this is very practical in aiming because it prevents the mouse from sliding too much.
