Overwatch 2 MIT: what does it mean?

In multiplayer shooters, you need to constantly improve your skills and stats in order to keep up with other opponents. Grinding is one way to improve our skills and reflexes while playing. Moreover, improving strategies based on statistics is what professional players do. Several shooting games allow the player to check their stats such as kills, damage dealt, total deaths in the game, etc. Luckily, Overwatch 2 also has this feature whereby the player can check their stats by clicking Tab key. However, the name of each indicator is displayed by its abbreviation, which confuses many players. One such abbreviation in the Overwatch 2 stats menu is MIT. Find out what this means with our detailed guide on the subject.

What does MIT mean in Overwatch 2? – What does it mean?

MIT in Overwatch 2 stands for Damage Mitigated, which is how much damage you deflected in a match. This statistic is very similar to the Damage Blocked feature from Overwatch 1. After that, MIT counts not only the damage blocked by the shield, but also the abilities that help reflect the damage. Abilities that block incoming damage include Ana’s Nano Boost and Orisa Fortify, just to name a few.

Heroes like Reinhardt, Sigma, and Brigitte are just a few of the characters that help prevent incoming damage from enemies. Also, Tank Heroes are the ones to win as they can get some big numbers here in the MIT section. In addition to MIT, there are other abbreviations in Overwatch 2:

  • E – this means complete elimination
  • A is the total number of passes.
  • D is the total number of deaths suffered by the player.
  • DMG is the total amount of damage dealt.
  • H is the total damage healed during the match. Also, keep in mind that these stats can only be obtained by support class heroes in Overwatch 2.

That’s about it for MIT in Overwatch 2. If you found this article helpful, be sure to check out our other Overwatch 2 guides.
