WhatsApp launches calling links
Very soon it will be easier for WhatsApp users to invite others to join a call. Meta uses the call link exchange feature (“Call Links”). If you see one of these links, you will be able to join the call by simply clicking on it. You will need the latest version of WhatsApp to use the calling links. On the Application’s Calls tab, you can select the Call Links option. You can then create a voice or video call link to share with your family and loved ones.

Last year, Apple began offering FaceTime Links, which allow third parties to join calls from Android devices and Windows PCs. While the Cupertino-based company allows users to schedule calls via links, WhatsApp won’t offer a similar feature, a company spokesperson confirmed to Engadget. At least not in the near future.
