Nihon Falcom and Tatsunoko Production are teaming up to create an animated series set in the universe of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War synopsis revealed:
Lavian is a young girl born and raised in the state of North Ambria, the poorest region of northwestern Zemuria. To protect her hometown and prove that she is different from her grandfather Vlad, who was once considered a hero but betrayed Northern Ambria, she volunteers to serve in the famous Jaegers of the North, the largest Jaeger corps on the continent. Devoted to her duty to the point of repeatedly breaking discipline, Lavian is placed in a platoon with Marty, Yseria, and Talion and ordered to undertake a reckless mission to infiltrate the Erebonian Empire.

Directed by Hidekazu Sato (Jushinki Pandora, Aquarion Logos), the anime series Legend of Heroes: Traces of Cold Steel – Northern War will air in early 2023. Cast: Makoto Koichi (Lavian Winslet), Yuichi Nakamura (Martin S. Robinson), Sarah Amy Bridcutt (Iseria Frost) and Yuki Ono Talion Drake (Yuki Ono).
Note that Mao Emura is in charge of research on the history of animation, and is also in charge of the musical composition of the series along with Hideki Ryoga. Shoji Hara is designing the original and main characters, while Mina Osawa is taking care of the secondary characters.
