Sega announces Yakuza 8 on consoles and PC.
The Yakuza 8 story will feature Ichiban Kasuga (played by Kazuhiro Nakaya), the protagonist of Yakuza 7, and Kazuma Kiryu (played by Takaya Kuroda), the protagonist of the Yakuza license. They will lead another team. The famous Dragon Dojima has also changed his hairstyle for reasons that can’t be revealed yet… Please note that the RPG turn-based combat system will again be present.
Yakuza 8
Yakuza 8 will release for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam/Microsoft Store) in 2024. This new installment is expected to be Ryu Ga Gotoku’s biggest Yakuza game to date.
It looks like the Yakuza license will now be called Like a Dragon in the future for Western releases like Yakuza 7 which is called Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Ishin, a remake of Yakuza Ishin with UnrealEngine 4 graphics engine.
