Arkham Asylum will now be overseen by Ladder creator Antonio Campos (he also directed several episodes and produced The Sinner and directed The Punisher), who will serve as showrunner-executive producer and also direct.

For reference, Terence Winter was involved in the creation of the first series related to the Batman universe, which was announced in July 2020. Then came Geary/Hadji creator Joe Barton, who replaced Terence Winter. The latter finally pulled out of the project, pushed by HBO and Warner Bros, when the focus was on the Arkham Asylum story, which left the field open for Antonio Campos.
