You can use this feature to hear your squadmates and enemies within range. But some players can’t use this feature in a battle royale match. How to fix Warzone 2 Proximity Chat not working issue
There can be multiple causes for this issue, and we’ve put together a few possible workarounds to resolve this issue. Here are some ways to fix the problem with Proximity Chat not working:
Make sure Proximity Chat is enabled
Although Proximity Chat is enabled by default on upload and download, incorrect settings can be the cause of this issue. So turning on the Proximity option might solve the problem. Follow these steps:
- Go to the settings menu in Warzone 2.
- Click on the “Audio”tab and scroll down to find the “Voice Chat”section.
- Then toggle the Proximity Chat option and enable it.
- Also, change your voice chat to “All Lobby”to hear every player in the match.
- Finally, continue with the match to check if the problem persists.
Don’t join parties on your console
- If you’re using PS5, PS4, Xbox X|S, or Xbox One for Warzone 2.0, please make sure you haven’t joined any other party. This includes a PSN party, Xbox group chat, or Discord.
- You need to enable and use in-game voice chat in order to use Proximity Voice Chat.
- Some players may see their Proximity Chat option greyed out.
- You need to enable voice chat in the game settings to enable or disable proximity settings.
Support Activation
Finally, if none of the workarounds above resolve your issue, we recommend contacting Activision Support. You need to submit a ticket explaining the Proximity Chat issue you are experiencing. As a result, the support team will contact you after a while.
