Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2: How To Check K/D Ratio (Match Stats)

In Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, you can check your K/D ratio to see how well you are playing. Checking how many kills and deaths you get in each match can motivate and push you to improve your game. You can also check statistics such as how many assists you made in this match. So in this guide, let’s see how you can view the K/D ratio in CoD MW2.

How to Check Your K/D in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

You can check the K/D ratio by opening match statistics in CoD MW2. PC players can open it by pressing the Tab key on their keyboard. PlayStation players can do the same by tapping on the touchpad. And Xbox players can press the Menu button on their controllers to check their K/D. Alternatively, if you are not interested in checking your score in the middle of a match. You can then also check your K/D after the match ends.

K/D Ratio stands for Kill/Death Ratio. So your K/D Ratio is calculated by dividing the number of kills you get in a match by the number of times you die (be killed). So, for example, if by the end of the match you have 15 kills and 10 deaths, then your K/D Ratio will be 1.5.

The higher the number the better, you don’t want to die more than you kill. Of course, there are times when this isn’t possible, such as if you’re having a bad match, having connection issues, or playing against the Smurfs. But you should always try to keep the K/D ratio at least 1 or greater than 1.

Apart from K/D, there is another statistic you might want to check out which is your passes. As the name suggests, it shows you your assists, i.e. the number of kills you’ve helped your teammates get. You get help after you deal a certain amount of damage to your enemy. But instead of killing them, your teammate gets the finishing shot.

You currently have no way to check the K/D of your past matches. So you can only check it during the match and when you get your stats after it’s over. But hopefully the developers will add this feature in future updates.

That covers this guide on how to view the K/D ratio in CoD MW2. If you need more help with this game, check out our Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 guides.
