The recent launch of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 brings a ton of new content for players to enjoy. This includes unique mechanics, maps, weapons, and a wide variety of weapon camos. Speaking of camouflage, these are rare and unique cosmetics or weapon skins in COD. As in previous installments, MW2 also offers players a variety of camouflages to complete various tasks. But with some clarified changes, some players are confused about unlocking and getting these weapon cosmetics. How to unlock Polyatomic and Orion Camo in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
You can unlock the Polyatom and Orion weapon camo by completing all camo and weapon camo challenges in MW2. There are basically five weapon camouflages that involve completing multiple camouflage tasks. They are the following:
- Basic camouflage
- golden camouflage
- Platinum camo
- Polyatomic camouflage
- Orion Kamos
Let’s take a look at each of these weapon skins and how to unlock them in Modern Warfare 2:
Basic camouflage
All customizable weapons will have four basic camouflage challenges. These challenges involve getting a certain number of kills for each challenge. Here are all four camo challenges you need to unlock:
- 1st Trial: Get a set number of kills.
- 2nd trial: Get a certain number of kills without reloading.
- Trial 3: Getting a certain number of double kills.
- 4th test: get a certain number of triple kills.
The main custom weapon with attachments will require you to complete all the challenges to unlock the base camouflages. But for non-customizable weapons, you only need to complete the first and second basic camo trials.
golden camouflage
Before unlocking the golden camouflage, you need to complete all the basic camouflage challenges. After completing all the tasks with the base camouflage, you will unlock challenges with the golden camouflage. Then all you have to do is complete these challenges to unlock the golden camo. These challenges require you to complete a certain number of kills without dying more than a certain number of times.
Platinum camo
As with the previous weapon camo, you need to complete several challenges with the golden camo to unlock the platinum camo. Although no exact numbers are known, you need to unlock the golden camo on a minimum number of weapons from each category. There are 9 different categories of weapons and they are as follows:
- assault rifles
- Battle rifles
- LMG
- submachine guns
- Shooting rifles
- Sniper rifles
- Pistols
- Launchers
- Melee (primary and secondary)
How to get polyatomic camouflage in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Polyatomic camouflages can be unlocked after you have unlocked the Platinum camouflage for at least 51 weapons. But the trick here is that his camouflage issues will be different for all weapons. This means that the camouflage for the RPG-7 may differ from the camouflage for the M4.
Unlock Orion camo in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
You can unlock and get Orion camo by unlocking Polyatomic camo for 51 weapons. When you unlock the Polyatom camouflage for this weapon, you will automatically unlock the Orion camouflage for it. This type of weapon camo marks the end of weapon camo in Modern Warfare 2.
