While playing God of War Ragnarok, you will encounter many NPCs who will give you side quests known as Favor. This is a new mechanic added to this game that makes keeping track of your main quest easier than ever before. And getting 100% completion of this game is impossible without going through them all. So, in this guide, find out what services are in God of War Ragnarok and check the list of side quests in this game.
What is Favor in God of War Ragnarok?
Favors are nothing but side quests that you can take on in GoW Ragnarok. When you complete them, they can give you XP, various resources, armor pieces, weapon attachments, or runic abilities. The good thing is that you will come across many advantages as you progress through the story of the game. But if you plan to complete the game in 100%, you will need to do some research. This is because not every service in this game can be found by simply advancing through the main story, which is the Path.
And, to add to that, many services can be unlocked even when reaching the area for the first time. But unlock after you advance a bit in the story, so you will have to go back to the previous sections to see if any new service is available to you. Don’t worry if you complete the game, you will still be able to move freely and return to areas before starting New Game Plus.
You can check the unlocked services by pressing on the touchpad of your controller. Then press R2 and go to the Targets tab. Here you can find 4 options:
- Path: The main story of the game.
- Benefit: The game’s side quests.
- Works: challenges you can make.
- Artifacts: Hidden collectibles in the game.
You can also check your card for a blue badge with a white symbol. The same icon can be found on NPCs that give you favor.
