Netflix’s The Witcher franchise is currently undergoing major changes, with Henry Cavill, the star of the main series, leaving the adventure. However, before we see that departure in Season 3, a mini-series set in the same universe will appear on the platform, and so Netflix is offering a new preview of what it will offer fans.
The latest official teaser for The Witcher: Origins of Blood begins with Skian, played by the redundant Michelle Yeoh, performing some sort of ritual before plunging into violence, devastation and magic in an otherworldly setting with some very fantastic touches.

The story of the four episodes of this mini-series takes place 1200 years before the events of The Witcher. Shayan and his assistants will be among the first monster hunters with magical powers.
The Witcher: Origins of Blood will be released on Netflix on December 25th. This should allow fans of the license to wait until the third season of The Witcher is due to arrive on the platform next summer. Until then, be patient.
