Keeping up to date with the latest developments in the jailbreak community can seem like a daunting task, especially as the community becomes less centralized. In today’s roundup, we’ll show you the latest jailbreak-related news and tweak releases for the week of Monday, October 31st to Sunday, November 6th. They won’t be in any particular order, but it’s useful to know if you’re a potential jailbreaker or have already jailbroken.

Linus Henze Releases Fugu15 Jailbreak

On Monday, renowned security researcher Linus Henze released the Fugu15 jailbreak for iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1 supporting arm64e devices (iPhone XS and later).

Fugu15 is primarily intended for developers and will not be further developed, but once released and open source, the information may be useful to other jailbreak developers who are working on jailbreaking iOS or iPadOS 15.

TrollStore becomes more stable with latest crash protection updates

TrollStore was updated to version 1.3.1 and then to version 1.3.2 on the same day to address two app crashes users were experiencing.

One of these crashes appears to have occurred when clicking on the cancel button on the app install warning popup, and the other appears to have occurred when users took advantage of the bolt text feature in iOS and iPadOS.

TrollStore also received updates to versions 1.3.3 and 1.3.4 this week, mainly to add support for installing and permanently signing the Linus Henze Fugu15 jailbreak app for iOS 15. You can read more about these updates in our supplementary news post.

Just before today, the latest update to version 1.3.5 fixed several different bugs in the software.

TrollTools updated to version 2.1

TrollTools, the popular TrollStore download and permanent signature application, has been updated to version 2.1 with a set of user experience enhancement features that will make users more interested in using the application.

TrollTools allows users to do things like customize home screen app icons, customize passcode buttons and notification icons, all with or without a jailbreak.

iOS 16.0.3 unsigned

On Tuesday, Apple stopped signing iOS 16.0.3, which prevents iPhone users from upgrading from the newer iOS firmware through the usual methods.

iOS 15.7 unsigned

In addition to closing the signing window for iOS 16.0.3, Cupertino-based tech giant Apple on Friday stopped signing iOS and iPadOS 15.7 to prevent those who upgrade to iOS or iPadOS 15.7.1 from downgrading their firmware through the usual means.
