How to get Gengar without friends in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

You can trade Pinkurchin for Blossom in exchange for her Ghost to get Gengar in this game. The ghost is developed through trading, so this is the easiest way to get Gengar. Here’s how you can capture one and trade it for a Ghost:

  1. Head to the areas near the beaches in this game to catch the pinkurchin. Some of the best locations for him in the game will be:
    • southern province
      • Zone 1
      • Zone five
    • Eastern Province
      • Zone 1
      • Zone 2
    • Western Province
      • Zone 1
      • Zone 2
    • Eastern Paldean Sea
    • There is also no fixed time, so you can catch it in the morning or in the evening and it won’t make much of a difference.
  2. Next, a quick trip to the city of Levincia.
  3. Go around the circular bridge and find an NPC in a blue top and red shorts.
  4. She is Blossom and her chat says “Pinkurchin would be great.”

  6. Select Yes.

  10. Select Yes again.
  11. This will start trading and your Pinkurchin will go to her and you will get her Ghost.
  12. Once Haunter has registered with your Pokedex. You will see how the Ghost begins to develop. Once it completes its evolution, you will receive a Gengar.
