Ramp, SideNotes, Chill and more apps to try this weekend

It’s time for another part of our Apps of the Week review, where we bring you some new or interesting apps that we’ve come across recently. This week we have a financial companion for business owners, a versatile notepad and music sharing app. And, as always, we have chosen a new fun game for you.

Ramp

We’re starting here with a slightly niche, boring app, but for people who need something similar, Ramp seems like a great option. Of course, the Ramp service has been around for quite some time, but this mobile app is brand new. It lets you automate finances in your pocket, allowing you to track expenses, apply for refunds, automatically match receipts to transactions, and more.

Additional Notes

Finding the perfect note-taking app is like finding the perfect calendar or task manager. You need something that works everywhere, automatically syncs, and above all, you need something that you will use. Today I’m introducing SideNotes for your consideration. As a Mac app, SideNotes sits in a transparent panel on the side of your monitor, making it more attractive than stickers and more flexible than other text editors. This new mobile app lets you take these notes with you so you can view, edit and add them on the go. It’s pricey, especially with all the free options in the space, but I still felt it was worth pointing out.

Chill – Songs of your friend

This one seems to be cool. Chill is a social app that makes it easy to share your favorite music with friends. Basically, it’s a big search engine for songs with tons of social features. Here’s how it works: Find a song in the app, share it, and then if your friend likes it, they can add it to their playlist. The app connects to your Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer or YouTube account, making it easy to create new playlists with newly discovered music. Chill also has friend lists, emoji reactions, and tracks how many songs you’ve sent and received.

Shankstars

So you may not like regular golf, but I bet you will love Shankstars. In it, you play as an exotic character – a pirate, an astronaut, etc. – and you have to overcome incredible tracks with dangers such as tornadoes and active volcanoes. The game somehow reminds me of the game HotShots Golf, released back in the days of PS2. In any case, all the necessary features are there: upgradable abilities and equipment, collectibles, as well as single player and single player modes. Fuoooooooooooo!
