Mother Miranda is the final boss in the Shadows of Rose expansion and is not easy to beat. She will use some similar types of attacks at different stages. You have to learn how to dodge, absorb the incoming projectile and then hit her hard with everything you have. How to beat Mother Miranda in Shadows of Rose?
Being the final boss, she will be stronger. You will need to wait for the window to attack, so be prepared to dodge. When she reveals herself, dodge the first few attacks. You will have to bring her into the territory using Rose’s Megamycete attack. This is reloading by absorbing incoming projectiles.
- Left Stick + Circle (LS + B) – Dodge left and right.
- L1 (LB) – Absorbs incoming projectiles.
- Left Stick + Circle – Megamycete attack.
In the beginning, use the left stick and circle to dodge left or right. It will fly from the sky right at you. Then use the Megamycete attack to stun her, you need to defend the attack directly below her. Otherwise, it will fail, on a successful hit, she will land on the ground and remain stunned for a few seconds.
Pull out the shotgun and aim only at the head. You will be able to fire 4 to 5 shots until she wakes up and continue attacking in the same pattern. Once again, get ready to perform a Megamycete attack that summons a giant root out of the ground and hits Mother Miranda. In one of the heart attacks you will have to press L1 and absorb the incoming projectile, this will recharge your Megamycete attack.
Dodge is a key move to win this battle, otherwise it will drain your health faster. After two or three attacks, Mother Miranda will change her attack style. Again, you just need to dodge, that’s all. Avoid any other movement and shoot her unless she is stunned and on the ground. By successfully absorbing incoming projectiles, you can recharge a special attack and use it against her.
In the last stage, the whole sky will turn red and Mother Miranda will shoot many projectiles. There is no getting away from this, but there will be a short video soon. And the fight continues. Use L + Circle to stop Miranda’s onslaught, which will unleash a powerful Megamycete attack. She is stunned again and lies on the ground for the last time.
Walk up and press R1 to defeat Mother Miranda. This completes the boss fight. As you can see, it’s not that difficult, the problem is her constant attacks. Here you will have to dodge a lot, otherwise you will die soon. Also, be ready to press the keys in time to absorb incoming projectiles, they will recharge the special attack.
