Following yesterday’s release of TrollStore version 1.4 with major changes to the way apps are permanently signed, project developer opa334 on Sunday released two consecutive updates to the popular hack for iOS and iPadOS 14.0-15.4.1 (and some 15.5 beta) devices with a bug. fixes that users won’t want to miss.
Both updates mentioned above were announced via Twitter a couple of hours apart. As we dive deeper into the changes in each update, we’ll discuss them separately below.
In version 1.4.1, the following changes have been made to TrollStore:
– Once and for all, fix all app restriction issues on iOS 14 – Disable TrollStore app removal actions on the home screen again, because this will also cause the app to be restricted
It’s worth noting that removing apps from the home screen was an important new feature in TrollStore version 1.4, but because it caused more problems than it was worth, it’s now disabled again. For anyone already having issues with restricted apps, the developer recommends reloading the icon cache after installing TrollStore version 1.4.1 or later.
In version 1.4.2, TrollStore received even more fixes, most notably the following:
– Fixed an issue where apps could sometimes be incorrectly labeled as TrollStore apps, causing them not to show up in the TrollStore apps list. – Fixed a theoretical issue that could occur in some rare cases when adding an app to the icon cache.
If you are an existing user of the TrollStore app, it is recommended that you update to version 1.4.2 as soon as possible, especially if you installed yesterday’s version 1.4 update due to issues that can occur with restricted apps. Updating is easy as the TrollStore or TrollInstaller app has an OTA (over the air) update mechanism that makes the process a one-step process.

With TrollStore, you can permanently sign apps on iPhone or iPad. This is similar to a non-published download using utilities such as AltStore or Sideloady, but differs in that the installation becomes permanent (until you remove it) without the need to sign this application every seven days, as would be necessary for AltStore or Sideloady. TrollStore bypasses the signature with a powerful CoreTrust bug that only supports iOS and iPadOS 14.0-15.4.1 (and some 15.5 betas).
