Tweak injection may arrive in iOS 15.0-15.7.1 on the palera1n developer-focused jailbreak

A developer-focused Palara1n jailbreak tool for checkm8 (A9-A11) compatible devices running iOS and iPadOS 15.x.

In a tweet published just this weekend and featured above for your enjoyment, the palera1n team revealed that the implementation of tweaks could soon be added to their developer jailbreak for devices running up to iOS and iPadOS 15.7.1.

The exciting announcement was posted twice on the Palera1n Discord channel, where developer Mineek showed up to showcase a video of a successful implementation of the Substitute-based tweak on an iOS 15.7.1 device with the Atria jailbreak tweak that was installed via the Sileo package manager:

Minik noted that a new update is now available for testing that will fix issues with App Store apps, the Shortcuts app crash, and other instabilities reported by users. While it’s available on GitHub, Mineek intentionally didn’t ping the Discord channel because they’re trying to get testers involved to ensure stability before pushing it to everyone on the channel. Please remember this feeling.

Mineek also advised against using the semi-tethered option with this update for now, but this may change in the future.

It is noteworthy that the palera1n team is not the only organization demonstrating the implementation of tweaks on iOS and iPadOS 15 devices. While their jailbreak is focused primarily on checkm8 compatible devices that can run iOS and iPadOS 15, namely devices with A9-A11 chips inside, @xina520 teased a project just this morning to introduce tweaks to new devices without checkm8, namely A12-A15. varieties.

As tweak adoption expands across the iOS and iPadOS 15 platform, buggy as they are amid the new rootless dynamic that jailbreakers now have to contend with, each announcement feels like a step in the right direction as the patient community waits for official release. supports jailbreak for these devices.
