You can significantly improve the quality of calls on your Google Pixel

Clear Calling aims to improve call quality on Google Pixels, a feature that is still in beta in Android 13.

When Google formalized its Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro a few weeks ago, Mountain View introduced new features for Android 13, including Clear Calling. This option makes phone calls clearer by reducing background noise and improving voice quality. While Clear Calling was announced alongside the new Pixels, the feature was missing from Android 13 when it launched. But there is a way to take advantage of it right now.

Clear Calling aims to improve the quality of calls on Google Pixels.

According to Android Police, Clear Calling is available in Android 13 QPR1 Beta 3, which means you need to have the beta installed on your Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro to use it. This way you will have access to features earlier than the general public. However, you will also have to deal with some bugs that can affect the daily use of your smartphone. And if the situation is really serious, you can lose all the data on your Pixel. If you choose to leave the beta program, Android will wipe your device.

If you really want to try Clear Calling and other beta features, keep that in mind. To install it, you must participate in the Android Beta for Pixel program. Sign in with your Google account, select your device. Select a beta program, accept the terms, and you’re done. You can install the beta via Settings > System Updates just like any update.

The feature is still in beta in Android 13.

Then go to Settings > Sound & Vibration > Mute Call. Click to activate the feature and see if it really improves your call quality. Please note that since this is only a beta version, there is still room for improvement.

One last thing, this feature won’t be available for long, only for the Pixel 7. Google has announced that Clear Calling will be coming to the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro with the December feature update.
