Warhammer 40K Darktide: what are moans? (explanation)

Warhammer 40K: Darktide is the latest release from the developers of Fatshark. Although the beta version is full of bugs, it still delights fans with its impressive gameplay. The different types of monster enemies are the reason the game gets so much attention. One of them is Groner. Chances are you haven’t encountered it yet. This guide will tell you everything you need to know about the Groners in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.

Who are the Groaners in Warhammer 40K: Darktide?

The enemies of the Horde in Darktide can be divided into four groups – Stroops, Poxwalkers, Dregs, and in question – Moans. As the name suggests, they often groan in pain due to the early symptoms of smallpox. Poxwalkers are people turned into zombies that roam around with horns protruding from their bodies.

On the other hand, the Moaners wear normal civilian clothes and are not dysfunctional, unlike the Poxwalkers. They do not have armor, and they are easily distinguished in the crowd by their clothes. These enemies of the Horde are reportedly known to eventually turn into Poxwalkers.

Luckily, Groners won’t pose much of a threat to you in Darktide. Since they are still in the symptomatic phase, they cannot infect you like Poxwalker. Hence, they are known as one of the weakest enemies in WH40K: Darktide as they have no armor. They can be easily defeated if you don’t get in their environment and act quickly. The other three enemies of the Horde – Scabs, Scraps and Poxwalkers – are much more dangerous in combat than Groners.

This brings us to the end of our guide. We hope we have helped you understand what the Stoners are in WH40K: Darktide. If you’re still here, keep an eye on our GamerTweak website for more Darktide guides.
