5. Nidhogg
This is a rather sad fight, because by making it easy, you kill the guard on duty. Nidhogg is a Lindwyrm whose sole duty is to protect the roots of Yggdrasil. And that’s all this fight is about. But for now, you might feel sad about it for a few moments when the fight starts. This will soon turn into disappointment.
Nidhogg is a giant Lindwyrm that takes up most of the area where you will fight him. Thus, when it comes to dodging, there isn’t much room to run. But that will be the least of your worries, because his moves are very random. Not to mention, his attacks can deal a lot of damage to the duo. Overall, this is going to be a very tough fight, but you should get used to it after a few tries and finish it in no time.
4. King Hrolf Kraki
King Hrolf Kraki is not only the king of the berserkers, but also a hell of a tank compared to some of the other bosses in the game. First, it has a large supply of health. Second, he regularly turns his HP into an Enhanced life bar. So you will also need a weapon like Draupnir’s spear to break his improved life bar. And usually when you think of a heavy opponent, you think of someone who is slow. But King Hrolf is not like that.
He will use multiple attacks such as Hammer Pound, Jump Smack, Hammer Thrust Dash, Hammer Charge, ice projectiles and more. And most of his moves will need to be dodged, not parried. So be prepared to deal a lot of damage to this boss. Because this fight will take quite a long time to finish.
3. Christ and fog
Valkyries have always been difficult opponents in the last two parts of the God of War games. And Christ and Mist decided to be here Jesse and James from Team Rocket. No, not that stupid part when they fly into the sky with lightning. But the part where you have to prepare for trouble and double it. What could be worse than taking on one tough Valkyrie? Fight two of them at the same time.
It’s also kind of nice, because during most of your fights, Atreus or Freya helps you. So in a way it will be a 2v2 matchup. But it won’t be like a one-on-one fight. Because these Valkyries are not only very fast, but surprisingly, they can take a lot of blows before they fall. Not to mention, at some point in the fight, both will heal and regenerate their HP, making the fight harder.

Not so surprising that the main antagonist of this game turns out to be Allfather Odin. During his fight, you will see his true fighting prowess. And understand why he is the ruler of the nine worlds. Or why he is the most feared. But don’t let it get to you. Of course, he can have all sorts of melee and ranged attacks. But so are you.
One is the perfect balance of speed and strong melee attacks. They can seriously undermine your health. But when it comes to his ranged attacks, he won’t disappoint you either. But defeating him will make the victory even sweeter. Since this is not the first time Kratos has killed the God King.
1. Gna, the Valkyrie Queen is the hardest boss in God of War Ragnarok
Finally, we have Gna, the new Valkyrie Queen. She follows in the footsteps of Sigrun and becomes the most ferocious warrior in these games. Sigrun was hurt to deal with back in God of War (2018). And just like her, the new Valkyrie Queen won’t give you an easy fight. Due to her loyalty to Odin, she has a special Hatred towards Kratos, which you will learn about once the fight starts.
The good news is that this fight will become available after you complete the main story. So not only can you prepare your weapons, armor and upgrades. But you should get used to them by now. And this is what you will see put to the test. She has many tricks that she can use against you. And she even punishes you for the mistakes you make, so be sure to practice your blocks and parries and know when to attack.
