Apple Releases New Black Unity Band for Apple Watch to Celebrate Black History Month

Apple will celebrate Black History Month in 2023 by releasing a new dedicated Black Unity band for the Apple Watch and a matching Apple Watch watch face.

In an announcement posted on Wednesday, Apple said that this year’s Black Unity collection was designed by members of the Apple Black creative community and that the tessellated design languages celebrate the brightness of black communities and draw strong inspiration from the power of unity.

The black Apple Watch Unity band features an abstractly woven “Unity”word and uses the colors of the Pan-African flag, including red, green, and black.

On the software side, Apple is offering new Apple Watch Unity challenges in February that can earn users limited rewards by closing their rings for one week in a row.

Color-matched Apple Watch faces and iPhone wallpapers will also be available starting next week with iOS 16.3 software update, and will look great whether you buy the Apple Watch Black Unity band or not.
