Civilization 6 is, at its core, a strategy game. Building your nation from scratch to eventual world domination is the goal of every player. The game uses real historical leaders and borrows from the monuments and customs of other great nations, offering the opportunity for a different approach. Fans of the longtime series were delighted to see one of their favorite Wonders of the Colosseum return to the game. But what does the Colosseum do in Civilization 6? Let’s find out.
What does the Colosseum do in Civ 6?
- +2 Culture
- +2 amenities
- +2 loyalty per turn
These bonuses also apply to any other cities within 6 squares of the Colosseum. While these bonuses may not seem worth the money at first glance, the Colosseum is best used in conjunction with other cities. If you build a Wonder in the center of your country and surround the Colosseum with 5 other cities, the bonuses stack. This means that you will generate 10 Culture and 10 Amenities per turn. Amenities are vital to keeping your citizens happy, which in turn translates into additional crop bonuses per turn. All of these factors make the Colosseum the best wonder you can build in Civilization 6.
